My Skin is So Blah
i hate my skin. it is so blahh... today, i decided to ask the nice pharmacist at alpro about what she thinks i should use for my crappy face. so she recommended i try avene. right... said she herself uses it, and none of the customers she had recommended it to had any complaints so far. so being the sucker that i am, i got it. well, if this doesn't work, it's yasmin for me. fuck... except i might as well be getting laid, too, if i start using OCPs, right? sighs.... i hope my parents do not read my blog :p

which products exactly u'r using now?avene is quite gud, especially their diacneal which contains retinaldehyde,a derivative of retin-a.however, when u start using it, u MAY PURGE from it, i.e. get pimples so use it sparingly n jus to b on d safe side,use it every other nite first n then slowly build up to every nite when u think ur skin can take it.ders lots of info here: http://www.makeupalley.com/user/notepad/tetrakis/ (u may hv to sign up to view it).i'm using it n hoping it helps wif d scars n also for prevention. i've used cleanance k n it's rubbish (am trying another product for d much needed bha n wil let u know if it's any gud).d cleanser n toner r ok.but i'm most hopeful wif d diacneal..to c it's full effects,nid at least 3 mths so im keeping my fingers crossed. :)

ic..mayb u'll get better results out of it lar.diffrent ppl diffrent mar. :) but u shud get diacneal 2 lar.imo.n their sunscreens pretty gud..but very shiny but heard it provides much better protection against uva compared to american sunscreens.
ReplyDeletei dunno if all these cream thingies work. When in doubt see a plastic surgeon! I hear microdermabrasion is gud. Just dun go the way of the nasty chemical peels *hear bad stories about that one* Apparently now they have these lipos u can do during lunch and they're £600 a pop, very tempting. But I see how eating healthy goes first, cos less expensive but results take longer. SOBB!!(my obsession is about my belly, can u tell?). Besides, that LV bag is £685. Lipo or LV? Man, I sound scarily like a Carrie Bradshaw clone.

ReplyDeletedida:if u'r already using retin-a then no nid diacneal.bear in mind tho that the base of d retin-a cream (if u'r using d same one as i am lar) is comedogenic.dats y i stopped using it,coz it used to break me out.but u shud b using it regularly, not occasionally.d effects of retin-a is suppose to b cumulatv n if u stop for mo than 2 days,then ur skin kinda regress.also, it's anti-ageing so kill 2 birds wif one stone lor. ;)
