Shine, Jesus, Shine!

Shine, Jesus, Shine!

:) I am at a friend's helping her revise for a paper and here's what I found on her computer... It reminded me of days in Y.C.S., charismatic church camps for youth and youth choirs :) It was one of the favourites among the youth, together with Hillsongs' Power of Your Love and another song which title I can't remember :p Yeah, I loved them too... All that energy. One voice, one spirit in praise and worship. You can feel the air crackling with barely repressed energy :) The old may possess maturity (note the usage of the word 'may' ;)) but the young! Ahh... the young possess endless possibilities! :) There really is nothing like the sense of invincibility and possibility of youth. I miss those days, and I wonder what the Catholic youth in the archdiocese are doing nowadays... hmm... :) Here's a toast to my adolescent 'See. Judge. Act.' and 'pray without ceasing' days... :)

Shine, Jesus, Shine!

Lord, the light of Your love is shining,
In the midst of the darkness shining,
Jesus, Light of the world shine upon us,
Set us free by the Truth You now bring us,
Shine on me! Shine on me!

Ref.:
Shine, Jesus, shine!
Fill this land with the Father's glory!
Blaze, Spirit, blaze!
Set our hearts on fire!
Flow, river, flow!
Flood the nations with grace and mercy!
Send forth Your Word,
Lord, and let there be light!

Lord, I come to Your awesome presence,
From the shadows into Your radiance,
By the Blood I may enter Your brightness,
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness,
Shine on me! Shine on me!

Repeat refrain

As we gaze on Your kindly brightness,
So our faces display Your likeness,
Ever changing from glory to glory,
Mirrored here may our lives tell Your story,
Shine on me! Shine on me!

Repeat refrain
